Apple approving Poke as a Messages for Business AI agent raises the bar for trusted chat commerce
TechCrunch reported on 4 June 2026 that Poke became the first AI agent approved for Apple’s Messages for Business platform. The report says Poke lets people use AI agents through simple text messages, and Apple approval places that workflow inside a business messaging channel where brand identity and platform rules matter.
The practical signal is that AI chat commerce is shifting from experimental bots to official messaging surfaces. Customers will increasingly expect assistants to be reachable in the same trusted channels they already use for service, order updates and support.
Why it matters for Bubbll
Bubbll should treat chat identity, permissions and handoff quality as product features, not plumbing. For Thai retailers, restaurants, hotels and residences, an AI assistant must know when it is speaking as the merchant, when to escalate to staff, and how to preserve a clear audit trail across customer conversations.
