Apple’s Siri AI makeover shows assistant strategy is becoming model-routing strategy
SCMP Tech reported on 9 June 2026 that Apple used WWDC 2026 to introduce a long-awaited Siri AI makeover, with the assistant moving toward more fluid conversations powered by Google’s Gemini model. The same report noted that China availability must wait, underlining that AI assistants are constrained by local model, regulatory and deployment realities.
For Bubbll, the signal is practical: assistant quality is no longer only a UI feature. A chat-first CRM or commerce platform must decide which model handles which task, what customer data is allowed to leave a boundary, and how each market’s compliance requirements affect rollout.
Thai SMEs do not need assistant hype; they need reliable responses, safe escalation to staff and clear consent around customer context. Model routing and regional readiness should therefore be part of product architecture from day one.
